- Of those watching the World Cup or Love Island, if they had to keep watching just one 39% would choose Love Island ad 38% would just watch the World Cup. 23% feel they genuinely couldn’t choose.
- Over half (53%) of those watching the World Cup have been watching it live for the evening games and catching highlights or reruns for the late-night ones and 19% are watching them all live.
- 1 in 2 (52%) of those watching Love Island have been watching it live every night and 31% are watching it the same day but not live.
- 45% of adults think France is going to win the World Cup, 17% think Argentina will win, and 14% think Spain will win.
- In a typical evening, when both are on, 34% watch the match live and catch up on Love Island later on and 25% watch Love Island live and catch the match later on.
- 24% think Ellie and Finley are going to win Love Island, 24% think Lola and Sean will win, and 12% think Julia and Lorenzo will win.
- 60% of adults say the World Cup is clearly dominating more conversations in their day-to-day life and 8% say Love Island is dominating their conversations.
- 24% of those watching the World Cup or Love Island say there is quite a clear generational split in their household over which one people want to watch and 18% say there is a bit of a split but not strict.
