- Of those who complained about the weather, 16% complained as soon as the hot weather started.
- Over half (52%) say the worst part of the great weather was that they couldn’t sleep with the heat and 30% thought the worst was people complaining about the weather.
- 29% of adults say they wished they had aircon during the hot weather this summer and 21% say they would wake up early due to the heat.
- 27% of adults say they ignored the hosepipe ban in order to save their garden. Of these, 10% ignored it for a few days, 8% ignored it for a week, and 9% ignored it for a few weeks.
- 1 in 3 adults (33%) say after a few weeks of the hot weather they were hoping for rain and 14% were hoping for rain after a week of the hot weather.
